Dear Kid

Dear Kid

I wish I could protect you from what’s coming, but the truth is, you were dealt a tricky set of cards in life. You’re going to go through things no one should ever have to endure. There will be pain, heartbreak, and moments where it feels like the weight of it all might crush you. But listen to me you will survive. You will recover. And one day, you will look back and see that even in the darkest moments, you were growing into someone powerful, someone unstoppable. You will beat the odds that are against you.

You’ll learn how to turn your pain into strength, but I need you to remember this: strength isn’t just about pushing forward, working harder, and proving yourself. True strength also means resting, healing, and allowing yourself to feel. Please don’t run from what’s inside you. Don’t keep yourself busy just to avoid sitting with your feelings. You don’t have to fill every hour of the day to escape the hurt. It’s okay to slow down. It’s okay to breathe.

Instead of running from the past, pour your energy into what truly brings you joy. Focus on what you love not just what keeps you occupied. The world will always demand more from you, but you don’t have to say yes to everything. You don’t have to carry it all at once. Healing isn’t a race, and your worth isn’t measured by how much you can endure.

So please, be kind to yourself. Let yourself rest. Give yourself the same love and care you so freely give to others. The road ahead is long, but you don’t have to rush through it. Take your time, trust yourself, and know that you are going to be okay.

With love,

Your Future Self
